Severe toothache

Throbbing pain, pain when biting, or pain that wakes you up usually means infection or a deep cavity. Call — don't wait it out.

Broken or cracked tooth

Save any pieces, rinse gently with warm water, and call us. A cracked tooth can often be rebuilt if treated early.

Lost filling or crown

Keep the crown if you have it. Avoid chewing on that side and call us to get it re-cemented or replaced.

Swelling of the face or gums

Swelling can signal a spreading infection. Call the office right away; if breathing or swallowing is affected, go to the ER.

Knocked-out tooth

Handle it by the crown, not the root. Keep it in milk or saliva and call immediately — time matters.

Denture pain or breakage

Sore spots and cracked dentures are fixable. Bring the denture in and we'll take a look.

Call as early as you can

Morning calls give us the best chance of finding room in the day's schedule.

Bring your insurance card

Most plans, Medicaid and Medicare are welcome; we'll check coverage while you're here.

Describe the symptoms

Pain level, swelling, and how long it's been going on all help us triage properly.
